With the 2025 Women in Mining Sudbury Diversity Gala now behind us, we’re taking a moment to reflect on what this event represents, both this year and last.
In 2024, the Patrick Group of Companies proudly joined industry leaders to celebrate the women shaping mining’s future. That momentum continued in 2025. Once again, the Gala brought people together to honour inclusion, leadership, and progress. These events reminded us that diverse voices help drive real change.
Celebrating Real Leadership
Across the sector, women continue to lead change in every part of the field, from engineering and safety to procurement, project management, and executive leadership. Their contributions don’t just help projects succeed, they elevate the entire industry. As a result, we’re seeing more innovation, stronger outcomes, and increased accountability.
At the Patrick Group, this isn’t just something we support from a distance. It’s something we witness every day. For example, the image shared here features Kayla, our General Manager at L. May MFG Inc. Like many others female leaders across our group of companies, Kayla brings vision, clarity, and strength to her role. We’re proud of the women who show up with care, drive, and leadership, day in and day out. Their work helps us build safer job sites, stronger partnerships, and a company culture rooted in continuous improvement.
Commitment That Goes Beyond the Event
Of course, attending the gala is one way we show support. But our commitment runs much deeper. It shapes how we build our teams, grow leaders, and reflect the communities we serve. We believe that better outcomes come from hearing different perspectives, encouraging shared leadership, and offering real opportunity.
Looking ahead to 2026, we’re carrying the lessons, and the energy, from these last two years forward. By continuing to support events like this and creating space for growth internally, we’re helping shape an industry that works better for everyone.
Thank you to Women in Mining Sudbury for your leadership, vision, and consistency. You’re helping bring the industry together, again and again.
Let’s keep building something better. Together.
